METRODOME DEFLATED

metrodome herbMINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – The Metrodome roof started to become a thing of the past on Saturday January 18, as crews deflated the roof.

Demolition crews say the snow helped the deflation process and it was done in less than 35 minutes. It started at 7:15 a.m.

Authorities were monitoring wind speeds and said if they were higher than 15 mph the deflation would have been put off.

The deflation was nothing like the implosion of Met Center in Bloomington in the 1990′s.  “It is different,” she says. “You know it’s the roof deflating. It’s not going to be like a one, two, three, deflate,” Michele Kelm-Helgen, the chairwoman of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority said.

Mortenson Construction says other demolition will follow quickly. READ MORE by CLICKING HERE!
